You see it every time you walk into a "globo gym". People spending an inordinate amount of time on the treadmill or stationary bike or doing biceps curls in front of the mirror or cell phone.
They're in the gym for hours and what do they have to show for it? They look the same day after day, week after week, and month after month. They're busy - but they're busy going nowhere!
You should be able to see and feel improvement on a regular basis. Subtle changes in how your clothes fit are a good indication you are doing something right. Being able to do more work in the same amount of time is another. How about having to go up in weight because it's just not challenging enough anymore?
Look at what you are doing in the gym and think about what you should be doing instead. I'm going to guess that there might be a little disconnect there...
