Free Intro to Kettlebells and CrossFit Workout - Sunday March 06, 2011

KW_keepingscore We will be having a free Intro to CrossFit / Kettlebells workout this Sunday (03/06/11) from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.  You will learn about Russian Kettlebells, CrossFit and how our dynamic training environment and methodology will get you into the best shape of your life - GUARANTEED.

We'll take you through a brief warm-up comprised of the Kettlebell and bodyweight skills that will prep you for the workout ahead.  Then we'll take you through the skills you will need to perform the workout.  Once that is out of the way you'll get your first taste of what a Kettlebell and CrossFit workout is like.  By the time you're done with the workout you'll know why CrossFit Koncepts is the only choice for you!

The Oiling of America

This video (which is almost 02 hours long) discusses the proliferation of vegatable oils in the current American diet and the disasterous results that its introduction has had on our health.  I think one of the most interesting points that was introduced that the incidence of Myocardial Infarction (commonly known as a Heart Attack) was practically non-existent prior to the late 1920's.  It has since become one of the leading causes of death in the United States and has been linked back to (primarily) diet.  Another interesting point was the link between the American Heart Association and their failed attempt to promote a diet that killed almost a third of the subjects from heart attacks!

Watch this video... it is worth the time spent doing it - it may just save your life!

 


Critique of the 2010 USDA Dietary Guidelines

This video (by a panel of nutrition experts from the Weston A Price Foundation; including Sally Fallon) discusses the USDA Dietary Guidelines and how they have nothing to do with promoting health in the American Public - but in creating profits in a very influential industrial segment.
